JN+A's Stamford Courtyard - Not Just Another Prototypical Hotel

Featured in a recent Hotel Business article, the new Courtyard by Marriott in Stamford, Connecticut is anything but typical.
Striking, upscale, and anything but prototypical, the new Courtyard by Marriott Hotel in Stamford, Connecticut was featured in a recent edition of Hotel Business magazine.  The article focuses on the unique upscale design of the hotel's lobby and public areas created by the architects and designers at Jonathan Nehmer + Associates, Inc. and HVScompass Interior Design.

Warren Feldman, Senior Vice President at JN+A and Principal of HVScompass, explains that while the quality-level of the design is very much in keeping with Marriott's standards, the style departs from the contemporary feel that is the  Courtyard signature.  The Stamford Courtyard's lobby is more traditional, like "the recreation area of a grand residence," says Feldman.  However, the guestroom areas of the hotel retain the prototypical Courtyard design.
