HVS International, a global hospitality and hotel services firm, recently announced the completion of the HVS 2006 Mid-Year U.S. Major Hotel Transactions Survey – a listing of major transactions that have occurred from January through June 2006. This survey represents data complied by HVS International and includes hotel name, city, state, room count, month of sale, sales price, and buyer and/or seller for each transaction. HVS defines a major hotel transaction as a sale that transferred at $10 million or greater, or a portfolio sale where the purchase price of the single hotel asset was allocated by a principal of the transaction at $10 million or greater.
