HVS Global Hospitality Services, celebrating its 30th anniversary in the industry and its 10th anniversary in the South America, formally announced that SAHIC 2010, the South America Hotel & Tourism Investment Conference, will be held in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia, September 27-28, 2010. Arturo García Rosa, President of SAHIC, and Nubia Stella Martínez Rueda, host patron PROEXPORT Vice President of Tourism, shared the news with 30 media, government officials and businessmen at the Sheraton Bogotá, Colombia.
Key players from the hotel and tourism industries will convene at the 3rd Annual SAHIC to explore the status of the region’s hospitality and tourism sectors.
According to García Rosa, President of SAHIC and Managing Director of HVS Buenos Aires & HVS Lima, “this year’s SAHIC will again encourage interaction among the region’s major players and those interested in investing in an industry that continues to demonstrate that South America is a great option. The marked interest shown by the early registrations anticipates the success of the 2010 conference.” He continues, “Participation in SAHIC will be a great opportunity to exchange information related to investment opportunities in Latin America, in a Conference that has undoubtedly become the number one event of its kind in the region.”
Martínez Rueda adds that “it is a great honor for Colombia to host this Conference. For our country’s global positioning, it is very important to host an event of this scope. Furthermore, it is an excellent occasion for many of the world’s leading businessmen to believe in Colombia and to realize that it is a good place to invest, by changing their perspective and generating more business opportunities.”
SAHIC 2010 will keep the traditional scheme of general and break-out sessions, with the addition of an area for interaction where investors will be invited to learn about projects. The celebrated Networking Express model will be present at SAHIC 2010.
