HVS Assists GBH in Bringing the First Hilton Hotel to the Lake of Como, Italy

GBH S.p.a., an affiliate of the Limonta Group, has signed a management agreement with Hilton Worldwide for a 162-room hotel, branded by Hilton Hotels & Resorts, on the Lake of Como.

The new hotel, Hilton Lake Como, expected to open in early 2017, will be located in the centre of Como, within a mixed-use development adjacent to the historic Villa Olmo and Cernobbio. The complex is the result of the redevelopment of an industrial building and will also include diversified residential units addressed to the international and local market. The hotel will feature an open air swimming pool, spa and fitness facility, a fine dining restaurant on the top floor, a ballroom and a range of additional meeting spaces, and a state-of-the-art business centre.

HVS, the global leader in consulting for the hospitality industry, assisted GBH in defining the hotel concept, performing the feasibility analysis and with operator selection. Hi.lex, a leading Italian law firm, assisted GBH and Limonta Group in relation to contracts, with the advice of partners Fabio Cappelletti and Luca Iaboni, and associate Tommaso Caciolli.

Hilton Worldwide will be the first international hotel brand to mark its presence in the Lake Como area.
