Rockville, MD:   HVS Design and Jonathan Nehmer + Associates, Inc. (JN+A), leading Architecture, Interior Design, and Project Management firms specializing in the hospitality industry, are proud to announce the completion of the 2016 Hotel Cost Estimating Guide.  The Guide is a comprehensive listing of capital expenditure construction and FF&E costs for hotel renovations.

Now in its eighth year of existence, the 2016 Hotel Cost Estimating Guide evaluates costs in a variety of hotel tiers including Economy, Extended Stay, Midscale, Upscale, Upper Upscale, and Luxury.  Within each tier, costs are separated into the categories of Guestrooms; Guest Bathrooms; Guestroom Corridors; Public Areas; Food & Beverage Outlets; Function Space; Recreational Facilities; Infrastructure; and Common Additives.

The 2016 Hotel Cost Estimating Guide also features estimated percentages for freight and warehousing for each tier.  New to the Guide this year are sample schedules for select service renovations (both prototype and custom) and for a full service renovation.

For the past eight years, we have utilized our extensive renovation experience to develop this comprehensive tool that has become a leading industry resource,” said Warren G. Feldman, chief executive officer of Jonathan Nehmer + Associates and principal of HVS Design.  “The information in the Guide is based on actual project data from our experience, as well as our partners which include contractors, purchasing agents, installers, and manufacturers, in order to provide accurate, reliable numbers.  In addition to providing Architecture, Interior Design, and Project Management services, JN+A is a leader in due diligence and Property Condition Assessments, for which budgets and capital expenditure planning are of utmost importance.”
