Landmark Scores Hotel St Andrews offered for Sale

HVS Hodges Ward Elliott has been appointed to offer for sale the Scores Hotel in St Andrews Scotland, a well known 36-room landmark in the ancient university town famous for being the ‘Home of Golf.’ The hotel has a unique location, being literally a few yards from the first tee of the world renowned Old Course and the famous Royal & Ancient Clubhouse, as well as enjoying spectacular panoramic views of the sea. Having been in the same family ownership for the last 34 years, a new owner will have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity of acquiring and upgrading a globally significant property in their own style, with the possibility of virtually doubling the number of rooms. As well as capitalising on annual events including the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, this timely sale will allow the successful buyer to re-launch the property in time to host guests attending the 150th British Open Golf Championship in July 2022. Charles Human and Harry Douglass are handling the sale.
