Aaron Solaimani, an HVS Vice President based in Seattle, thrives on engagement--with the client, the fieldwork, and the figures that lead to effective consulting and thoroughly supported hotel valuations or feasibility studies. Aaron has been involved with hundreds of assignments across the U.S., although the bulk of his assignments have been in the gateway markets along the West Coast. Clients engage Aaron for some of the firm's most high-profile and complex assignments, many of which are mixed-use projects anchored by hospitality assets that include residential and retail components. Some of his assignments have included golf resorts, a luxury resort in Fiji, luxury resort/condo developments in California's Coachella Valley and Idaho's Sun Valley, proposed convention hotels in San Diego and Seattle, a myriad of proposed hotels throughout Silicon Valley, and a dual-branded property in Oakland involving the redevelopment of a sports stadium.
With his wide range of expertise and experience, and his vast network of industry professionals, Aaron provides passionate, valuable consulting to his clients and excels at conducting appraisals of individual hospitality properties and portfolios alike. From single-assets on the West Coast to portfolios nationwide, one can trust Aaron to deliver authoritative conclusions.
Prior to joining HVS, Aaron was part of the finance team at Starwood Hotels & Resorts where he specialized in budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, and market analyses. He worked in hotel operations at various Bay Area hotels, as well as at the Westin Bellevue, located in a suburb of Seattle. Aaron received his BA from the School of Hospitality Business Management at Washington State University. He is also a state-certified general appraiser in both Washington and California.
Originally from Seattle, Aaron served as President of the student-run National Society of Minorities in Hospitality (NSMH) while at Washington State University in Pullman. In his free time, he loves to play basketball and golf, explore the outdoors, and travel. He also helps coach youth AAU basketball and is involved with other community activities.
