Consulting Experience

Dinaker Mallya, a Vice President with HVS Philadelphia, has extensive experience in valuation, market and feasibility consulting throughout the northeast region. Along with a team of experienced consultants, Dinaker has consulted for and evaluated hundreds of existing and proposed hotels throughout Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington D.C., and the surrounding markets. Dinaker has also authored articles on major markets in the region and has researched the implications of property improvement plans (PIPs) on a hotel’s performance. Having worked in hotel operations since his childhood, Dinaker understands the ins and outs of the hotel industry. Prior to joining HVS, Dinaker gained operational experience with Marriott, Starwood, IHG, and Choice Hotels properties, as well as extensive experience in high-volume restaurant management with Delaware-based Big Fish Restaurant Group. Dinaker graduated from the University of Delaware with a BS in Hospitality Business Management, and he is a state-certified general real estate appraiser.
