Hunter Dietz wasted no time in pursuing his passion for enterprise in hospitality. While still in high school, he founded X Catering in his hometown of Villa Park, California. He designed the menus, hired staff, and drummed up business connections. Soon the company was catering events for up to 400 guests. As a Project Manager with HVS Dallas, Hunter brings this tenacity to every hotel site inspection, client connection, and analysis of critical data. Trust him and the hotel experts at HVS Dallas to deliver the most comprehensive, authoritative market insights and value conclusions for your hotel or portfolio.
Before joining HVS, Hunter worked in management positions for the Eureka! Restaurant Group and as a food-service facility renovation consultant. Hunter graduated with a degree in Hospitality Administration from Cornell’s School of Hotel Administration, with concentrations in Restaurant Development and IT and a minor in Real Estate. During college, he served as President and Vice President of the Hotelie Entrepreneurs Club.
Hunter negotiates a number of travel and charitable pursuits in his free time. He was a summer volunteer with Mary’s Kitchen in Anaheim, helping feed hundreds of homeless every day. He also served as philanthropy advisor for the Cornell chapter of Phi Kappa Psi. Hunter studied abroad in Florence, Italy in 2013, immersed in the culture’s architecture, language, and cuisine. He still harbors a passion for foreign travel.
