Justin Kaminski began his career managing a stand at a local farmer’s market in Dyer, Indiana. He later belonged to Marriott’s Breakthrough Leadership Program while in college. He went on to manage food & beverage operations and revenues for full-service resorts, Downtown Chicago hotels, and at McDonald’s famous Hamburger University. As a Project Manager with HVS Chicago, Justin draws on this varied background to help hoteliers better understand their assets. His superior skills at gathering critical information in the field, conducting thorough site inspections, and attention to detail in the final analysis ensure comprehensive and authoritative conclusions about a hotel's value or feasibility.
Justin’s hands-on experience in hospitality includes positions at the Hyatt Lodge in Oak Brook, Illinois; the JW Marriott Camelback Inn Resort & Spa in Scottsdale, Arizona; and the Marriott Chicago O’Hare. Prior to joining HVS, he worked for Kimpton Hotels as an Area Revenue Analyst, examining new opportunities for revenue generation and effective yield management for four of the company’s luxury hotels in Chicago. Justin earned a BS in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Purdue University.
A die-hard Chicago sports fan, Justin keeps up with the Bears, Blackhawks, White Sox, and Bulls (he tries to catch Blackhawks games on the road as well). He also snowboards, plays recreational softball and basketball, and has a mission to visit, one by one, every baseball stadium in the nation.
