A Vice President with HVS Los Angeles, Li Chen, MAI, has spent more than ten years working in established and emerging hotel markets in the American West and Southwest. Her catalog of assignments includes appraisals, market studies, and feasibility studies for hundreds of limited-, select-, and full-service hotels. Li is a Designated Member of the Appraisal Institute (MAI) and a state-certified general appraiser. She has written several articles on hotel markets in California and international hospitality and tourism trends between the U.S. and China. Li has extensive hotel operations experience, including front-office and accounting work at the Renaissance LAX. She holds a master's degree in Hospitality from Michigan State University's Eli Broad College of Business.
