Catherine Sarrett is a Senior Director with HVS Convention, Sports & Entertainment and performs market analysis and feasibility studies for convention, conference, sports, and entertainment facilities. Cathy has spent over 20 years in the convention, sports and entertainment field as a consultant, financial analyst, and owner’s representative during design and construction. Recent project experience includes feasibility studies of convention center developments in Fargo, North Dakota; Bethlehem, Pennsylvania; Billings, Montana; and Tallahassee, Florida. She also studied expansion options for the Amarillo Civic Center in Texas, the Wisconsin Center in Milwaukee, Washington State Convention Center in Seattle, and the Broward County, FL Convention Center. She has analyzed the feasibility of performing arts center developments in Fargo and Williston, North Dakota and concert amphitheaters in Indianapolis, Indiana and Mammoth Lakes, California. Her sports-related projects include indoor and outdoor sports complexes in St. Louis and Lee’s Summit, Missouri; Fishkill, New York; Jacksonville, Florida; Colorado Springs, Colorado and arena and stadium projects in Jacksonville, Florida; San Antonio, Texas; and Lloydminster, Alberta. Cathy also served as the owner’s Project Manager for the design and development of the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA. She received her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Duke University and spent several years as a structural engineer before entering the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania where she received her Masters of Business Administration in Finance and Marketing.
