Ability Group acquires Hampton by Hilton Bristol Airport from CIMC Capital 

UK-based real estate investor The Ability Group has acquired the Hampton by Hilton Bristol Airport from Chinese group CIMC Capital for a reported £24 million (£114,300 per room). The 210-room hotel is the only hotel at the airport and provides the new owner with the opportunity to add another 50 guestrooms.

Helvetic Investment acquires Dorint Parkhotel Mönchengladbach, Germany 

Wiesbaden-based Helvetic Investment GmbH is acquiring the Dorint Parkhotel Mönchengladbach, located some 32 kilometres west of Düsseldorf, from a group of sellers in an off-market transaction. The 162-room four-star hotel, recently extended and renovated, is leased to Dorint. The new owners are planning to reposition the property in the medium-term.

Best Western Hotel in Malmö, Sweden sold to Landia 

Landia has acquired the Best Western Hotel Royal in Malmö, southern Sweden, from the Kihlström family for an undisclosed amount. The deal was signed last month. The hotel, which was owned by the sellers for 28 years, comprises 50 guestrooms and changed hands through a share transfer.

AccorInvest acquires further share in Orbis, now controlling 98.6% 

AccorInvest has acquired a further 12.8% stake in Orbis, following a public tender offer launched in February this year. AccorInvest now owns 98.6% of Orbis, which owns and operates 73 hotels in six countries across Eastern Europe, under the Sofitel, Novotel, Mercure and Ibis brands. The buyer intends to acquire 100% of Orbis shares in due time.
