Swiss Life AM Real Estate has acquired a portfolio of two Italian hotels from BNP Paribas REIM Italy. The portfolio compromises the 250-room Radisson Blu Hotel Milan and the 208-room Novotel Milan Malpensa, operated under long-term lease contracts by Radisson Hospitality and AccorHotels respectively. This combined 458-room deal is Swiss Life AM Real Estate’s first Southern European hotel acquisition.

BNP Paribas REIM Germany, on behalf of an institutional investor’s special real estate fund, has acquired the new 217-room Room Mate Bruno hotel in Rotterdam, for a reported price of €51 million (€235,000 per room). The property is located in Rotterdam’s modern Kop van Zuid high-rise district which is situated on the south side of the Nieuwe Mass river. Opening in summer 2018, the hotel is being developed by Amsterdam-based VolkerWessels and will be operated by Spanish chain Room Mate Hotels.

Singapore-based Buxani Group has acquired the 117-room GoGlasgow Urban Hotel for £10 million (£85,000 per key) from Scottish privately-owned company Crerar Hotels. The hotel, after extensive refurbishment, was reopened in 2015 and will be managed by Thai group Compass Hospitality, who operate 29 hotels in Thailand, 4 in Malaysia and 14 in the United Kingdom.
