David Bone forged his work ethic as a child, sowing, reaping, and performing every conceivable chore in the fields and furrows of his family’s small Texas farm. There his grandfather instilled in him three principles: take care to do things right the first time, embrace the tough tasks and long days, and take pride in a job well done. For nearly twelve years, David has carried this ethic through to his professional life as a hotel consultant and appraiser, working hard to cultivate substantive advice for his clients and better yields for their hotels.
David has conducted hundreds of consulting and appraisal assignments for limited-, select-, and full-service hotels and resorts in markets across Texas and throughout the U.S. David’s articles on the hotel industry include “The Reciprocal Value of City Development,” which was republished on multiple independent hospitality websites; he has also been quoted in the New Mexico Business Weekly. Before joining HVS, David was part of the team at the Omni Parkwest Hotel in Dallas, where he worked in the rooms division and engaged in all aspects of operations. David earned his bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University. He is a state certified general appraiser and is based near San Antonio.
David continues the tradition of tight-knit family bonds, dedicating his time away from the field, the office, and the computer to his wife and son.
