Kristina D’Amico is a Director in the Miami office of HVS and focuses on the Caribbean Region. She specializes in hotels and resorts (including all-inclusive resorts), as well as mixed-use resorts with a residential component, throughout Florida and the Caribbean Basin. Kristina’s expertise includes appraisals, market studies, and feasibility studies for existing hotels, proposed hotels, and redevelopments. She has a strong focus on resort properties in the Caribbean and has worked in 15 Caribbean islands.
Kristina has valued over one billion dollars of hospitality driven real estate in her career and specializes in luxury and complex assets. Kristina played a significant role in the valuation of the first $1 million plus per room hotel sale to take place in Miami Beach. She also served as an expert witness in a quasi judicial hearing before the Historic Preservation Board reviewing the demolition permit request related to the closed Belleview Biltmore hotel in Pinellas County, Florida. Kristina has authored articles on the successful redevelopment of the Clearwater Beach, Florida, hotel market and is highly regarded as the hotel market expert relative to the Tampa Bay MSA (Tampa/St. Petersburg/Clearwater).
Originally from New Jersey, Kristina earned her Bachelors Degree from Florida International University (FIU) with a major in Finance and a minor in Hospitality Studies. At FIU, she served as the President of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. She is a state-certified general real estate appraiser (RZ 3822) and is working through the final steps for her MAI designation. In her spare time, Kristina enjoys watersports, reading, travel, and tasting wines from around the world.
