In this Fall 2019 report from HVS, 40 hotel brokers provide their opinions on the current state of the hotel transaction environment from their viewpoints in 24 markets across the U.S. The overall sentiment reflects stability, but with the RevPAR-growth outlook minimal and a possible economic correction looming, average cap rates are not moving substantially. The forthcoming national election, new supply, PIP costs, and rising labor costs are top limiting factors, which are also contributing to the more cautious outlook.
