When conducting a hotel appraisal or feasibility study, Kathleen Donahue, a Senior Vice President with HVS Dallas, knows how to do things by the book. She also knows how to think outside the box, an ability that’s immensely valuable when it comes to complex full-service hotel assignments. Kathleen contributes honest communication, problem solving, and attention to detail during the course of every assignment, producing a comprehensive report that offers credible conclusions about your hotel.
Kathleen has served as an HVS representative at major hotel conferences, including the American Lodging and Investment Summit (ALIS) and the 2012 HVS Regional Hotel Valuation Summit in Dallas. She has also authored an article on volatile trends and hotel performance in the U.S. following the most recent recession. Kathleen joined HVS from Radisson operations in Austin, following graduation from The University of Texas at Austin. She is licensed as a certified general appraiser in Texas and surrounding states and has particularly strong knowledge of hotel markets in north Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.
Kathleen’s volunteer efforts in her community include organizing a team of HVS Dallas colleagues to help serve meals at the Ronald McDonald house in Dallas. While at home, Kathleen stays active with her two dogs, Basil (a Yorkshire terrier) and Bentley (a Maltese). As the only native Texan in her family, Kathleen enjoys living close to her hometown of Arlington, Texas. Kathleen garnered a passion for cooking (her specialty dish is Bruschetta) from her father, who is a favorite guest at the dinner table. Her culinary curiosity prompts her to try out different dining spots while engaging in another favorite hobby, travel.
