HOUSTON, TX, December 11, 2025: HVS Brokerage & Advisory announces the sale of the 91-key Holiday Inn Express & Suites Houston East - Baytown, located at 7515 Garth Road, Baytown, Texas 77521.
The property, built in 2014, was purchased by Mickle & Lucky Estates LLC, based in Anaheim, California, from Texas Prime Baytown Hotel U.S., LP, based in Houston, Texas.
Moiz Bhamani, Chief Executive Officer of Prime Real Estate Group, commented, “As our company shifts focus to building luxury condominium projects throughout the country, it was a natural decision to transition out of the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Baytown asset. The HVS team assisted us in acquiring the property back in 2015, and we’re pleased they were able to identify the right buyer to take the hotel on going forward. Their creativity in structuring the deal with a loan assumption was instrumental in getting the contract across the finish line.”
This strong-performing hotel asset benefits from its location along Interstate 10 in a city that plays a major role in the oil and gas (O&G) industry’s downstream sector. The market is home to one of the world’s largest oil refineries (ExxonMobil) and is near a multitude of demand generators, such as Chevron Phillips Chemical’s Cedar Bayou Facility, Enterprise Products Partners’ Mont Belvieu Complex, Energy Transfer’s Fractionation & Storage Facility, Targa’s Logistics & Transportation Segment Facility, and the Houston Ship Channel. Leisure demand generators include the Baytown Nature Center, San Jacinto Monument, Battleship Texas, Bicentennial Park & Veterans Memorial Plaza, Eddie V. Gray Wetlands Center, Fred Hartman Bridge, Lee College Performing Arts Center, Lynchburg Ferry, Pirate's Bay Water Park, Yepez Vineyard, and Lee College, as well as several youth sports venues, golf courses, and area waters for fishing and boating.
“This transaction presented several challenges, but by working closely with both parties, we were able to craft a solution that worked well for everyone, including a loan assumption that made the deal possible. We’ve built a strong relationship with the buyer, a well-qualified group from California, and this marks the second hotel acquired through us in the past year. This transaction is a reminder that not every hotel deal follows a standard path; success often requires thinking creatively and adapting to current market conditions,” said James Rebullida, Senior Vice President of HVS Brokerage & Advisory.
HVS Brokerage & Advisory team members Eric Guerrero, James Rebullida, Kyle Peterek, Fadi Rawashdeh, and Daneen Godinet participated in this transaction.
